MailScan 3.1a for MDaemon with the world's first "real-time" e-mail Scanner for the MDaemon Mail Server produced by Deerfield.com Inc.

MailScan 3.1a for MDaemon acts like a Content-Security and Anti-Virus Software for your Corporate MDaemon Mail Server. It scans and cleans the e-mails that:

A) Flow between all the local users.
B) Are sent from your MDaemon Mail Server to the Internet.
C) Come inside your MDaemon Mail Server from the Internet (either via SMTP or POP3).

MailScan is the only product available across the world that transparently works on both SMTP and POP3 traffic.

It has the world's first "real-time" e-mail Content-Security and Anti-Virus that analyzes the e-mails on a real-time basis before they are delivered to the clients or the servers on your network. Both SMTP and POP3 are supported.

Technically, a new layer, known as the MicroWorld WinSock Layer (MWL), has been introduced between the default WinSock2 and the applications. MWL analyzes the traffic that flows between the MDaemon Mail Server and the Internet.

Besides providing Anti-Virus and Content-Scanning features, MailScan also has a Generic Attachment Analyzer, Automatic Compression/Decompression feature, a comprehensive notification Engine, etc.

MailScan uses the eScan Content-Security and Anti-Virus solution to scan all the attachments in the e-mails. The e-mails that are sent to and received from the Internet are scanned and cleaned. Its' contents are checked before your e-mail server processes the same.

All MailScan processes are multi-threaded. This ensures that all e-mails are parallely processed.

All types of attachments are handled by MailScan, including MIME and UUEncoded.

RFC822 attachments, Embedded e-mails, Multipart-Mixed and Multipart-Digest types are also taken care of.

	The unique features of MailScan are:
		No port settings or changes need to be done inside MDaemon.
		No Gateway machine needs to be dedicated for using MailScan. MailScan will work along with MDaemon on the same machine.
