MailScan 3.1a for Mailtraq 2 acts like a Content-Security and AntiVirus Software for your Corporate Mailtraq Mail Server. It will scan & clean emails that:

A) Flow between all the local users.
B) Go from your Mailtraq Mail Server to the Internet.
C) That comes inside your Mailtraq Mail Server from the Internet (either via SMTP or POP3).

MailScan 3.1a is the *only* product available across the world that transparently works on both SMTP and POP3 traffic.

It has the world's first Real-Time eMail Content-Security and AntiVirus that analyzes eMails on a real time basis *before* it is delivered to your clients or servers. Both SMTP & POP3 are supported.

Technically, a new layer, called as the MicroWorld Winsock Layer (MWL), has been introduced between the default WinSock2 & the applications. This layer is responsible for analyzing the traffic that flows between Mailtraq & the Internet or your applications.

AntiVirus & Content-Checking are only few of the benefits offered by MailScan. It also has a Generic Attachment Analyzer, Automatic Compression/Decompression feature, a comprehensive Notification engine and hosts of features hitherto found in any other package.

MailScan uses the eScan Content-Security & AntiVirus to scan all attachments contained in eMails. Emails sent out to the Internet & coming in from the Internet are scanned & cleaned of Viruses and its contents checked, before your actual email server processes the same.

All the MailScan processes are multi-threaded. This ensures that all emails are parallely processed.

All types of attachments are handled by MailScan, including MIME and UUEncoded. RFC822 attachments, Embedded emails, Multipart-Mixed and Multipart-Digest types are also handled properly.

		No port settings or changes need to be done inside Mailtraq.
