Based on Intel's 430TX chipset, the TX5N is uniquely designed for file servers, work stations and professional users. The TX5N has a special CPU heat management function (EISCA) which monitors the CPU. It includes all of the required specifications for PC97 such as Ultra DMA/33 IDE interface and ACPI power management functions. Two 168-pin DIMM sockets support Synchronous, FP, and EDO DRAM. The TX5N also implements DIP switches into its design. Making it easy to adjust the frequency and voltage setting. This allows end-users to easily and correctly install their own CPU upgrades whether it be a Pentium^® processor with MMX^TM technology, AMD-K6^TM processor, or Cyrix 6x86MX^TM processor.
