[ SM5 586/686 Processor based Mainboard With CPU SOFT MENUTM Technology ]
The SM5 features
ABIT's Soft Switch function. This function
allows all of the CPU parameters to be set with SOFT
MENUTM, a software program located
within the system's BIOS. No jumpers or DIP switches are needed to set
CPU parameters! End users are now able to easily and conveniently change
their own CPU with the help of user-friendly software. The SM5 is fully
equipped with a 430VX chipset, high performance
PCI Rev. 2.1, and a combination of two
168-pin DIMM and four 72-pin SIMM sockets, supporting a total of
four banks of system memory. The DIMM sockets
support Synchronous, FP and EDO DRAM and satisfy
next generation's 64-bit memory standard. The SM5 has 512K of built-in
L2 cache but offers the same economical advantage as ABIT's other mainboards.
