Based on Intel's
430TX chipset, the PX5 includes all of the
required specifications for PC 97 such as Ultra DMA/33
IDE interface and ACPI power management functions.
The PX5 also implements SOFT MENUTM,
a leading technology that eliminates all jumpers on the mainboard that
set CPU parameters. With SOFT MENUTM
end-users are able to use software to easily and correctly install their
own CPU, enabling them to upgrade to a Pentium® processor
with MMXTM
technology, AMD-K6TM
processor, or Cyrix 6x86MXTM processor.
