PP6 provides a complete range of specifications for high-end file sever
environments. The PP6 concurrently incorporates Intel's new generation
Pentium® Pro processor and the PCI
Rev 2.1 I/O function. Like the Pentium® processor,
the Pentium Pro processor has a fully integrated first layer 8KB cache
memory for both the data and instruction queues. In addition, it also
has 256K or 512K of built-in second level cache to speed up data transfer
between the processor and main memory. With two USB ports, a fast Super
I/O chip, an EPP/ECP parallel port, and a Bus Master IDE interface, the
PP6 allows your PC to replaces the expensive minicomputer and workstations
with an economical budget.
