Imagine
this: Win98 is running just fine on your fireball PC. You're loving it. You go
to launch another program and the system hangs!. You try to reboot and
nothing happens. Your PC does not even know the hard drive is there. You haven't
backed up your drive in ages, but at least you defragmented it a couple of days
ago. You think of your customer data base and your financial records. You hope
against hope they are all right, but down in your heart you know better.
So
what do you do?
You
call a data recovery expert. $600 to $2000 later you get the drive back with
MOST of your data recovered. After you wake up from your wallet's near-death
experience, you resolve NEVER to get taken again, and always to back up your
data.
Yeah,
sure.
Well, here's the GOOD NEWS. Drive Clinic costs a lot less, lets you recover your own data, just like the experts do, and technical support is FREE. If you're not an expert, don't worry. You can become one after a few successful recovery jobs with our product!
Drive Clinic is a drive and data recovery software solution that you MUST HAVE. With it you can rebuild the master and partition boot records (MBR, PBR) and FAT of ANY Hard Drive, and you can find and recover lost or damaged files and directories, EVEN IF THE FAT IS DESTROYED!
You
can transfer the recovered data to another drive in the system without needing
external cables or hard drives. This means you can recover the entire drive. Now
THAT is data recovery. But wait, there's more!
Most
recovery tools are tedious, requiring you to enter drive geometry information,
as if you had ESP. But not Drive Clinic. It figures out
all that confusing data and enters it FOR you. If your CMOS RAM's drive type
gets erased, Drive Clinic will re-enter it FOR you. Also, it can
bypass BIOS when commanding IDE drives, so it will bring up the drive even if
the PC can't "see" the drive at all and can't boot!
Furthermore, Drive Clinic uses RAM to hold projected changes and show you drive, directory, and file structures. It does not risk further corruption by writing them to the drive till AFTER you have verified they are correct. But if you think THAT's something, get this:
That's
right! Drives formatted by DOS and Windows, including the new high-efficiency
version of Win 98 and Win 95 OEM service release 2, are known as FAT systems
because they have File Allocation Tables. These tables tell the operating system
which clusters of sectors on the drive are allocated to which files. The entries
in the table for hard drives are, 16 bits (DOS through version 6 and Windows
3.1/95), or 32 bits (newer Win 95 and Win 98). Many data recovery products
cannot handle all these file system types, but Drive Clinic
can handle them all! You see, the scandisk program that comes with DOS and
Windows sometimes messes up your files by truncating them, or chopping off the
ends of the files. But Drive Clinic handles them WITHOUT
truncation, thus saving you from tedious manual file rewriting and rebuilding.
But here's where Drive Clinic really shines:
You
guessed it! Drive Clinic is menu-driven, but
virtually automatic to operate, so you don't have to be a drive Genius to use
it. It lets you perform the following fundamental operations, in order:
1.
Analyse
the drives' characteristics (even those with damaged boot records)
2.
Validate
the boot partition till the root directory is correct
3.
Save
the boot records and FATS to an emergency recovery diskette
4.
Write
the reconstructed MBR (master boot record) to the drive
5.
Write
the reconstructed PBR (partition boot record) to the partition
6. Write the reconstructed FAT (file allocation table) to the partition
Your
Drive Clinic kit comes with TWO diskettes - one for
local recovery, and one for remote recovery. You can use the local disk to
recover drives on your local systems. But you can use the remote client
disk to recover a client's drive anywhere in the world from your master system
running the local diskette program! All you need to do is call the
client computer over the telephone via modem. The client diskette
will not recover the drive unless connected to the master. In
addition, you can use the client diskette to get help from our recovery
professionals in case you cannot recover the drive yourself. There may be
a nominal charge for such a service. Also, you may purchase additional
client diskettes to build your own remote drive recovery business.
Here
are some MORE fabulous features you'll love:
Supports drives smaller and larger than 8.4G
Additional utilities to perform full drive diagnostics, refresh, refurbish, low level format, sector scan, save/restore boot records and FATs, and other features (continually in development).
Drive Clinic includes a manual on disk, two 3.5" drive recovery software diskettes (one for the local system and one for the remote system), and a utility disk. OEM versions are available for bundling with hard drives. The utility disk contains the world-famous PC Clinic Burn-In system diagnostic software. It allows you to perform full diagnostics on the drive and controller, it lets you refresh its magnetic fields to reduce or eliminate ECC read errors, and it lets you reformat, refurbish, and perform security erase functions on old drives. No other drive recovery kit in the world offers such a robust feature mix at such an affordable price.
Drive Clinic NT for NTFS
Now
that you have an idea about Drive Clinic for FAT systems, consider that you can
get exactly the SAME fabulous recovery features in our separate product Drive
Clinic NT, for NTFS. NTFS is the high-performance file system used
natively by Windows NT. It is more complicated than FAT systems for DOS
and Windows 95/98. It offers more security, and is structured very
differently from FAT systems. So, it requires a different recovery
technology.
Drive
Clinic NT runs under Windows NT, and it reconstructs the boot records and file
system as necessary to recovery from most virus infections and catastrophic
structure damage caused by viruses, system crashes, and unruly programs.
Like Drive Clinic, it is perfectly safe because it reconstructs the drive
organization in memory and lets you verify it before writing it to the drive.
The on-line help is very robust, and guides you step-by-step through the
recovery process. It does not move files, but fixes them on the drive they
are on. It recovers drives that are so damaged they will not boot.
The
recovery process allows you to save and then reinstate the old structure so that
if the damage cannot be repaired, you can return the drive to its pre-recovery
state. This allows you to try other recovery options without the danger
that Drive Master NT caused even more damage, as other recovery tools do.
The following screen shots show you how simple, yet helpful, Drive Master NT is.

Here's
the idea of our software: For many years major data recovery companies have been
skimming the cream from the recovery business, making unwitting victims out of
at least 60% of their clients. How? Very simply, about 60% of the recovery
problems are EASY and FAST to do, yet those companies could get away with
charging their clients £500 to £3000 for a recovery job that takes less than
an hour. They have steadfastly refused to sell their tools to the professional
technicians because they would lose a vast amount of revenue. For that reason
they hate companies like ours who sell cost-effective tools that can recover 60%
or more of the recoverable drives to an estimated 97% level.
Our recovery tools are intended to let you get and keep some of that
"easy" money for yourself. You make a one-time investment in a tool
that costs less than a half a kilobuck (£500). Then, you use that tool to
recover an unlimited number of drives at £300 each. You make a good income and
your customers get a good deal. You pay for the tool the first two or three
times you use it. That makes it a great investment for you, whether you are a
professional technician, a corporate MIS director, a PC support manager for a
University, or a radioman aboard a nuclear submarine.
We
are NOT in the data recovery business, but we do offer back-up support services
for those who buy our recovery tools. This is how our support works:
If you own our tools and you have trouble repairing a drive, you can call
our recovery support line. It is not a toll-free number, but the support itself
is free. We will explain how to use the program to recover your drive, and lead
you to a determination of whether the recovery is possible under the
circumstances.
If you own Drive Master 2000 and have the remote client disk, we may be able to recover the drive in question for you over the telephone. There is a charge for this service of £75 (whether we recover the drive or not). If we recover the drive and the job is long and tedious, there will be an additional charge of £75. If we cannot recover any of the drive, then your maximum payment will be £75. In other words, it is £75 to look and do an easy fix, and another £75 for a hard-to-do fix.
