Handles All Hard Drive FAT Systems

That's right! Drives formatted by DOS and Windows, including the new high-efficiency version of Win 98 and Win 95 OEM service release 2, are known as FAT systems because they have File Allocation Tables. These tables tell the operating system which clusters of sectors on the drive are allocated to which files. The entries in the table for hard drives are, 16 bits (DOS through version 6 and Windows 3.1/95), or 32 bits (newer Win 95 and Win 98). Many data recovery products cannot handle all these file system types, but Drive Clinic can handle them all! You see, the scandisk program that comes with DOS and Windows sometimes messes up your files by truncating them, or chopping off the ends of the files. Your Drive Clinic kit comes with TWO diskettes - one for local recovery, and one for remote recovery. You can use the local disk to recover drives on your local systems. But you can use the remote client disk to recover a client's drive anywhere in the world from your master system running the local diskette program! All you need to do is call the client computer over the telephone via modem. The client diskette will not recover the drive unless connected to the master. In addition, you can use the client diskette to get help from our recovery professionals in case you cannot recover the drive yourself. There may be a nominal charge for such a service. Also, you may purchase additional client diskettes to build your own remote drive recovery business.

Drive Clinic includes a manual on disk, two 3.5" drive recovery software diskettes (one for the local system and one for the remote system), and a utility disk. OEM versions are available for bundling with hard drives. The utility disk contains the world-famous PC Clinic Burn-In system diagnostic software. The on-line help is very robust, and guides you step-by-step through the recovery process. It does not move files, but fixes them on the drive they are on. It recovers drives that are so damaged they will not boot.

The recovery process allows you to save and then reinstate the old structure so that if the damage cannot be repaired, you can return the drive to its pre-recovery state. This allows you to try other recovery options without the danger that Drive Master NT caused even more damage, as other recovery tools do.
